Muck Rack published The State of Creator Journalism 2025, its report on a survey of 1,500 journalists that found fully one-third of them were working independently outside of traditional media (and have been for some time).
Adobe announced its inaugural Creators' Toolkit Report, which found that 86% of global creators use generative AI.
Our friends at Trusting News, Project C and The Lenfest Institute partnered to create The Creator Journalism Trust and Credibility Toolkit, a four-part guidebook.
Taylor Lorenz (User Mag) reported that NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani hosted a press conference for about 70 content creators: “The event collectively reached more than 77.3 million users across social platforms, and generated over 31,000 views on the live stream.”
Axios reported that two respected journalists are launching Scalable, a media company that will cover the creator economy.
The newly launched News Creator Corps just announced its first fellowship cohort.
My take?
How much did you spend on Halloween candy?
